Hi friends! I know I've written in separate posts before about some of the gear I travel with but I thought I'd share all of the travel gadgets that I absolutely always have with me, no exceptions, that I would be lost without in one post and link to where you can buy all of them, too, if you're missing any of these because they are my absolute MUST HAVES! ... My MUST HAVE Travel Gear!
My Review of El Al Air: Good Food; Weird Night
This is my warning for all you naive people who are flying El Al in the future. I had no idea what I was getting into when I found out I was flying this airline courtesy of Birthright. Well, actually that’s not true. One of my friends said it would be an odd experience and that the Orthodox men pray in the aisles. I thought that had to be an exaggeration, as well as a fire hazard. He had said his very proud Israeli father refused to fly on the airline anymore because of this. Well, this ... VIEW POST
My Fellow Jewish Travelers: The Age Limit For Birthright Has Been Extended!
If you're Jewish, you've probably heard of Birthright Israel. If you haven't, it's a FREE TRIP to Israel. I'd never looked into it because I'm not particularly religious, but a friend of mine informed me today that Birthright has raised their age limit to 32 and since I am 32 for another 7 or so months, I'm hopping right on that train. Honestly, despite being Jew-ish, Israel isn't high on my must-travel-to list. It's hot there, I think they do a ton of stuff outdoors, and I can get pretty ... VIEW POST
What I Learned Traveling Solo to Budapest and Vienna
I had this whole post ready to go before I went up about getting my currency in order before I left but I didn't post it. I forgot, kind of, and now it's out of date. BUT I am back from my trip abroad. I might still be a bit jet lagged, but I think it might also be a symptom of me not liking to sleep in. Who knows. Anyways, I ended up in Budapest, Vienna, and took a day trip from Vienna to Salzburg, instead of going to Bratislava on my way from Budapest to Vienna. Why did I decide to do this? ... VIEW POST
The Travel Site That Got It Right
On my Google searches for travel blogs about Budapest and Vienna, I stumbled across this site, On the Grid. There's a ton of content and the writers have been all over the world. I started by checking out their pages for Warsaw and London, and maybe a couple of the other cities that I've been to. But then I clicked on "New York City" and onto my neighborhood, "Upper West Side," and I was happily surprised that (1) they'd been to my neighborhood (it's not touristy) and (2) they got so many ... Travel Bag Review: Travelon Cross-Body Bucket Bag
I've had the same travel bag (or purse, whatever) since 2008 and I've happily used it since it was gifted to me. There are lots of pockets and it's plain black, so it goes with everything. But I've always hated the shape and how it lays on my body, so since I'm a working adult, I decided to buy myself a new one for this trip. After a lot of Googling "best travel bag," I settled on the Travelon Cross-Body Bucket Bag. (Lie: First I ordered the Baggalinni Everywhere Bag, but it was so small so I ... VIEW POST
